Our high-barrier polypropylene single-serve coffee pods are produced through an inline thermoforming process on pellet-to-pod production lines. The industry-leading lines have a combined annual capacity of 2 billion-plus pods for the U.S. market.
The pod technology includes seven-layer construction with virgin polypropylene on both the interior and exterior surfaces, an EVOH high-barrier layer that protects flavor, proprietary material structure, and layer uniformity that permits laser engraving of date codes without penetration of the barrier.
Quality and food safety are guaranteed thanks to state-of-the-art controls that create a consistent and repeatable process, and automated quality inspection that ensures the pods meet your needs. Manufacturing takes place in a Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), SQF Edition 8 certified and ISO 9001 registered facility.
