After completing the successful sale to Lindsay Goldberg from Sun Capital on 31st July COVERIS Rigid, a leading European producer of rigid plastic packaging solutions for food and non-food applications, is finalizing the transition process by re-branding it’s business to PACCOR.
The brand name PACCOR, which Coveris Rigid previously used between 2011 and 2013 before being integrated into Coveris, combines the words “Packaging” and “Core” and has been chosen to emphasise a focus on the development of innovative packaging solutions for the fast-moving consumer goods market. Today, PACCOR has €590m turnover and 3,500 employees in 19 manufacturing units and aims to continue to grow through development of organic capabilities and capacities as well as a targeted M&A strategy.
Dieter Bergner, CEO of COVERIS Rigid and now CEO of PACCOR adds “The brand name PACCOR was already well established before we became part of the COVERIS family. After the separation from Coveris in 2017 and the divestment of the Rigid packaging business during 2018, we are confident that our former company name PACCOR is the right choice to support our future development with a strong and unique brand”.
With the successful re-branding of all legal entities during the coming weeks, the transaction
process will be finalized.
