With the launch of several new product families beginning of 2014, Arla Oy in Finland started to use COVERIS’ 200g DuoSmart® Light cups for a wide range of fresh dairy products. Amongst the novelties were Arla’s flavoured and natural protein quarks, which are designed for active consumers interested in wellbeing and high protein diets. The launch was supported by a big marketing campaign, promoted by ‘Elastinen’, a famous Finnish rap artist.

Together with the launch of the protein product family in February 2014, Arla decided to switch the packaging of its sweet flavoured quarks from post-printed cups to DuoSmart® packaging. The sweet quarks for cooking and baking are available in the flavours lemon, blueberry-vanilla, rhubarb-strawberry and mango.

In May 2014, Arla launched a range of flavoured sour creams in Finland, which are specially tailored as ready sauces for meat, chicken and fish – a handy alternative for the summer kitchen. The new sour creams are sold under the ‘Arla Keittiö (Kitchen)’ brand and are also packed in COVERIS’ DuoSmart® Light cups.

“DuoSmart® was a good and easy choice, because with the cardboard sleeve we can reach outstanding printing quality, as high quality products demand high quality packaging,” states Eetu Viuhkonen, Junior Category Manager at Arla Oy.
