Zdeněk Rybczuk, COO of the PACCOR Group, is to head up PACCOR GmbH based in Zell, Germany, with immediate effect as an interim CEO until such time as a new CEO has been appointed. PACCOR maintains 18 production sites and has a workforce of 3,500 employees in Europe and the US. The company mainly produces rigid plastic packaging for the food industry and gastronomy, as well as non-food packaging. PACCOR focuses on thermoforming and injection molding.

Zdeněk Rybczuk will be taking over from Dieter Bergner, who is withdrawing from the Management Board to pursue new professional challenges. “May we thank Dieter Bergner for his outstanding contribution in recent years under the management of Coveris Rigid. He can be proud of the company he has handed over to us. We wish him all the best for his professional and personal future,” says Zdeněk Rybczuk. Dieter Berger will continue to be available to the company in an advisory capacity.

Continuity has been guaranteed with Zdeněk Rybczuk, who is well acquainted with the company and already holds a position of operational responsibility. “With over 20 years of experience in FMCG packaging market, more recently, over a five-year period from 2013, he has been serving the position of Chief Operating Officer of PACCOR Group, he has also held position of Group CFO after carve-out and sale of business in 2010,” says Thomas Unger, partner at Lindsay Goldberg Vogel and Chairman of the Advisory Board of PACCOR GmbH. Lindsay Goldberg took over Coveris Rigid in August 2018 and renamed the company as PACCOR. Lindsay Goldberg, represented in central Europe by its German subsidiary Lindsay Goldberg Vogel based in Düsseldorf, has further plans to expand in the packaging sector. “Along with organic, international growth, we are also focusing our expansion strategy on taking over competitors. We have already identified a number of target companies that can add value to the portfolio,” Unger states.
