  • The Planner role reports into the Supply Chain Manager and operates within the Supply Chain team. You will be responsible for planning activities across the business. That might include raw material ordering, production planning and logistics planning. The role ensures that orders to the customer are fulfilled in a timely and most cost-efficient manner.
  • Generation of despatch picking list / delivery notes
  • Liaising with customers, confirming orders, advising of deliveries
  • Generating work schedules for production lines
  • Management of operational paperwork
  • Maintaining the “Contraload” pallet system
  • Arranging / liaising with transport sub-contractors
  • Placing orders with suppliers
  • Working closely with production, warehouse, quality and internal / external logistics teams
  • Support of stock management systems
  • Daily reconciliation of production output v customer demand
  • Ad hoc project activities
  • Capacity planning
  • Inspect manufactured goods in accordance with in-house quality procedures and undertake product remedial/second operation work
  • Working within a team environment, operate plastic manufacturing machinery in a safe manner, within relevant cycle times

  • Some formal CIPS qualification is desirable, or equivalent
  • 1-2 years’ experience within a similar role (Production Planner) within a FMCG manufacturing environment
  • Experience of system transition from spreadsheets to ERP systems
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Package
  • Confident using Microsoft Excel
  • Skills at managing internal customers
  • Experience using VMI and the ability to support and develop customer relationships
  • Knowledge of complete supply chain issues
